1. This standard basically tells us that we're going to try to look deeper into literary works by relating them to our past, present,and future historical background & contemporary context;Including other time periods.

3. If you don't understand what it's saying, it's just talking about how the Indians sang these certain songs together. These songs were about water, the whistling winds, and the calls of the animals around them. These songs made the Indians love nature more and more everytime they sang these songs. & the purpose of this quote is to encourage us to teach our children those same songs so that they could be brought up just as they were.
You are off to a great start, but it looks as though you have not worked on this in quite some time. I need you to give this some attention as soon as you can so I can put some grades in the book for you.
